Albany Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham

O with what joy we sing of Mary, a woman of great love, whose openness and loving kindness, gave birth to God’s own son. Mary, O so gentle and discreet, be with us as we pray to know the whisper of his presence, the wonder of his love.

The Church of the Holy Cross is home of the Albany Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and the parish also enjoys connection to the Albany Diocesan Ward of The Society of Mary (Ward of St. Mary Queen of All Saints).

We have a candle lit for the Diocese of Albany and warmly invite pilgrims and visitors to come and spend time at this special shrine, encountering the incarnate presence and love of Jesus anew. The shrine is open on Sundays from 8am–11am and at other times by appointment. Please reach out to the Rector if you would like to visit.
